I love the simplicity of tumbled gemstone chip beads. They really showcase what’s so beautiful about natural gems. They have a lovely rawness to them and they’re often a creative use of waste from the gem cutting industry. I wanted a simple and elegant way to showcase specific gems and came up with these graceful arches.
Each necklace is made with a generous length of gemstone chips on a Sterling silver wire arch with hammered flourishes at each end. I use a silver plated filigree pearl clasp and fine silver plated chain to hang them at sixteen inches, a flattering length on nearly everyone.
